    Responsibilities:
    Administers medications safely.
    Collects and analyzes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation to determine the diagnosis or issues. a) Performs primary and secondary patient assessments and documents in the medical record accurately and timely. b) Documents changes and omissions of the identified plan.
    Communicates systematic report to other care providers.
    Coordinates care delivery; utilizes resources to promote the continuum of care.

    Demonstrates knowledge and skill in all aspects of IV therapy and hydrationEmploys strategies to promote health in a safe environment.

    Evaluates and documents progress toward the attainment of outcomes.

    Identifies expected interventions and outcomes for an individualized plan of care and communicates effectively with patient, family and other team members.

    Implements the plan of care in a safe, timely and appropriate manner.
    Manages patient care based on knowledge of cancer, cancer treatment, and side effects of such treatment.
    Uses quality and evidence based practice to deliver and improve care.
    Works closely with more experienced clinicians for guidance and supervision.


    Infusion/Treatment Depts:
    demonstrates knowledge and skills in chemotherapy/biotherapy and blood products


    Radiation Oncology Depts:
    demonstrates knowledge of radiation therapies and procedures, including side effect and symptom managment. Demonstrates ability to triage patients and coordinate with provider to ensure care needs are met.

    JOB REQUIREMENTSRequired:


    Associate's Degree in Nursing (or higher degree) requiredRegistered Nurse license required for state the clinic is located in, at the time of hire (Kansas or Missouri).

    Must obtain additional State license, to possess both Kansas and Missouri licensing within 6 months of hireBLS Certification or obtained within 14Must complete BSN within five years of hireMust have current active multistate state Register Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live.

    Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.

    BSN Degree preferred


    Infusion/Treatment Depts:
    Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred1 year med surg/acute care preferred1 year oncology experience preferred
