Position Overview RMGS, Inc
is currently recruiting a Logistics Support Specialist in Virginia Beach, VA; Washington, DC; Indian Head, MD, in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), McAlester Detachment
**This position is contingent upon contract award

• Roles and Responsibilities:
• Strategically plan and manage logistics and support Implementation and Operations Management best practices.
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Provides a significant portion of acquisition or operational integrated logistics support (ILS) to projects.
• Identifies all activities that will be involved in providing needed logistical support.
• Monitors progress toward meeting the logistics plan and to identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems.
• Adjusts plans and schedules for all related actions as required by delays or changes to logistics requirements.
• Evaluates plans for and provision of logistical support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and develops alternatives when required.
• Provides configuration management and status accounting.
• Continues to support logistical requirements once deployed; adjusts support as required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Supply Chain Management, Processing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistical acquisition of highly technical systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational with good communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in the above-listed functional responsibilities.
• Secret security clearance or the ability to qualify for such clearance upon employment.
