Electrical Engineer (Contract to Hire)

Client:
Our client is a well-funded medical device startup with one commercial product already successful in the market.

This Electrical Design Engineering role will involve joining a small team of engineers who are working on current and future products.

This role is a contract-to-hire position with a conversion target in 1-2 quarters.


Daily Requirements:
Work with cross-functional members of Noah to generate requirements (ERDs) to build into schematics.
Build schematic designs (in Altium.)
Work with mechanical engineers and PCBA vendors to build into layouts.
Build layout designs (in Altium.)
Review designs from other team members when needed.
Bring up and debug on various PCBAs
Expect various relevant documentation for all PCBA designs.


Experience:
7+ experience in electrical engineering.
3+ years of experience in Altium Designer

Previous work experience with motor control electrical designs: bridge drivers for DC and BLDC motors, analog and digital encoders, sensitive feedback for closed loop control, motor driver selection, interface circuitry, and protection and safety features.

Previous work experience with low speed design: USB, Ethernet 10/100, SPI, I2C, etc...
Previous work experience with power architecture design

Bonus:
previous work experience with MIPI

Bonus:
previous work experience with embedded programming (enough to get the board up and running.)

Bonus:
previous work experience with Ethercat architecture.

Bonus:
previous work experience using FPGAs for motor control.
