    Description
    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Electrical Engineer 2 is responsible for contributing to the electrical design, development, and calculations of assigned manufacturing projects related to relay panels, control buildings, and medium voltage switchgears

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None

    Duties/Responsibilities:


    Review customer specifications to create drawings and bill of materials for assigned projects within budget, including the selection of partsDesign single line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams for power distribution, including network diagrams for communication and automation.

    Design and perform load calculations for power distribution systems.
    Work with Purchasing and Vendors to receive quotes and lead times to complete design. Provide engineering support to production departments during all stages of manufacturing.
    Coordinate with customers regarding specification/design questions and clarifications.
    Work with Lead Engineer and assist with other project tasks.

    Perform other related duties as assigned RequirementsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environmentStrong knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment.
    Excellent understanding of Electrical Safety Procedures, NEC and IEEE Codes. Experience and knowledge with computers and MS office programs. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or related software.


    Experience/Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
    At least 2-4 years of related work experience in electrical power systems.
    MEP Design experience a plus.


    Physical Requirements:
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.
