    We are hiring a Warehouse Specialist I (Parts Assistant) for one of our clients in Modesto, CA.

    Job Description:

    • Support staff for Parts rooms for receiving, stocking, and documenting distribution for approximately 1300 pieces of equipment.
    • This position will support the Parts Technicians in reviewing parts requests, accepting deliveries, stocking parts in bin locations, and updating the AssetWorks (FA) software for proper inventory management and control.
    • Receive, unpack, count, and inspect materials to ensure delivery meets request from order and packing list.

    Skills required:

    • Performs specialized functions which include receiving instruction and guidance from lead workers
    • Operates a forklift on an as-needed basis
    • Performs warehouse duties for receiving, stocking, and paperwork/updating Enterprise Asset Management System (FA)
    • Working knowledge of storage / handling techniques and safety regulations
    • Skill in operating equipment, such as forklifts, pallet drivers, and hand carts
    • Make periodic inventory counts on store items to ensure proper identification and re-supply needs; prepare reorder requests
    • Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly manner; sweep, maintain, clean, and ensure the safety and security of warehouse buildings and grounds
    • Maintain accurate and current records of transactions.

    Skills Preferred:

    • Previous parts acquisition and receiving software experience
    • Process over the counter requests for inventory items; enter information into a computer and obtain pre-printed stores issue forms prior to releasing material
    • General warehousing procedures, including the receiving of materials
    • Methods of maintaining and taking inventories.

    Experience Required:

    • Preferred two years of routine storekeeping or warehouse maintenance experience

    Experience Preferred:

    • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license

    Education Required:

    • High School diploma or GED equivalency

    Work hours:

    • 8:00 AM to 16:30
