This position supports safe efficient cost-effective production electric energy by performing various power plant electrical tasks.The Electrical Specialist duties include maintenance switchgear switchyard boilers turbine generators motors pumps fans compressors electrostatic precipitators flue gas scrubbers relays relay systems Programmable Controller systems Distributed Control Systems other electrical control devices.
Utilizes available documentation drawings schematics identify troubleshoot problems repairs replaces cables electrical insulation electrical components required performs preventative maintenance work feedback follow up work maintenance program improvement performs necessary rigging connection assigned duties efficiently uses computer technology operate work management systems access work orders input historical data report time order parts provides training facility personnel identified tasks employee leadership capacity assigning overseeing directing taking responsibility classification may be required perform overtime
