As an SQL DBA/Application Server Administrator, your role is integral to the Companys infrastructure by performing database maintenance and continuously monitoring activities. With your efficiency and effectiveness, you will assist the Development Team in database design and performance tuning, install and configure database servers, create disaster recovery plans, and perform disaster recovery testing.

Your reliability is key as you consistently monitor database performance, system health, backup, and SQL agent jobs.

Playing a lead role, you will work with developers to troubleshoot build breakages and resolve build issues in a timely manner.

Communicating with the Development Team, you will utilize Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to track requirements, code changes, and releases.

You will perform merges to production branches and deploy software, as required, while helping to define best practices for source control, continuous integration, and automated testing.

Your organization skills are imperative as you balance multiple projects, manage daily workload, and prioritize tasks.

You will be responsible for setting up servers for production, user acceptance testing, and development environments.

Your willingness to be hands-on is imperative as you support installations and modifications to application servers and databases.

You will be available to participate in some after-hours work and provide on-call support, when needed.

Your education includes a bachelors degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or equivalent work experience. 5+ years experience in database management, software development, server administration, or configuration management is required.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

You have the ability to understand TFS security, code branching, merging, and versioning.

You comprehend software development lifecycles and Service Oriented Architectures.

You are an excellent problem solver with critical thinking skills.

You are a true team player and have the ability to effectively communicate with business owners, end users, and engineers.

You have an exceptional ability to work individually and in a team environment.
