Duties

Conduct diagnostic procedures using ultrasound technology to examine bodily tissues and structures and produce high-quality images for analysis.

Prepare and calibrate equipment for examinations
Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks
Perform various imaging studies and assist in different procedures
Identify important structures, anomalies, pathologies, and equipment issues
Maintain proper functionality of equipment and report any concerns
Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and accurate documentation to PACS
Assist in upkeeping a clean and organized department
Adhere to regulatory standards

Qualifications

Certifications/Licenses/Registration:

BLS Certification required within 1 Month of hire. Acceptable from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
One of the following required:
- Cardiographic Tech certification from CCI within 6 Months of hire
- Sonography specialization from ARRT within 6 Months of hire. General Radiography and state licensure also needed within 6 Months
- Medical Sonographer from ARDMS within 6 Months of hire
- Sonography Tech from ARDMS within 6 Months of hire

Educational Background:

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certification/degree required
