    job summary:
    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our client's team.

    You will play a key role in leading and developing corrective and preventive actions to address both internal and external customer complaints.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, preferably in a technical field.
    • Proficient in computer skills, specifically the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Previous experience interacting with customers both within and outside of the facility.
    • Healthcare packaging experience is advantageous.
    • Experience with Minitab software is a plus.
    • Knowledge of plastic resins/materials and regulations is beneficial.

    responsibilities:

    • Lead and develop corrective and preventive actions in response to internal and external customer complaints.
    • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions on internal, customer, and registration audit nonconformities.
    • Support and develop site Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and 5S programs, including leading team meetings and related continuous improvement activities.
    • Validate new equipment and gauges to ensure compliance and reliability.
    • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager at the other site to support material development.
    • Engage with the technology and automation manager on product line, dimensional, and drawing review of product offerings.
    • Lead and assist in GPP cleanroom projects and initiatives.
    • Conduct Six Sigma DMAIC, Lean Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) projects, leading teams to address process problems and design new processes to achieve results.
    • Provide control plans upon project completion and integrate them into appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Ensure training is completed upon implementation and effectiveness of the SOP.
    • Facilitate problem-solving and workout sessions to address issues not requiring the formal DMAIC approach.
    • Conduct special data analysis projects as requested by management.
    • Identify opportunities for Six Sigma projects and collaborate with the plant's lean master black belt, GMS, and continuous improvement manager.
    • Facilitate project completion by recognizing and addressing organizational barriers.
    • Utilize Infinity QS or establish statistical process control charts where applicable and train process owners in their proper use.
    • Work with process owners and IT resources to make data available for process improvement teams.
    • Provide technical and statistical expertise to enhance the quality of services/products.
    • Communicate frequently with customers, plant management, and project champions regarding project status, issues, and accomplishments.
    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the organization.
    • Demonstrate behavior that meets Gerresheimer Management System (GMS) Standards.
    • Observe all safety rules and regulations and perform the job in a safe manner.
    • Maintain acceptable standards of housekeeping and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
