Position SummaryAssist patients and health care needs as directed by clinician during Emergency Department visit including performing 12 lead EKGs, blood draws, initiate Hep-locks, bedside point of care testing, aerosol treatments.
Complies with all policies and standards.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications:
QualificationsEducationOther Accredited Program Graduated from a state accredited paramedic program Required Work Experience3+ years Paramedic Experience (Level II) 5+ years Paramedic Experience (Level III) OR Associates degree and 3 years' experience Bachelors of Science degree in Emergency Medical Services OR classroom/clinical instructor (ACLS, PALS, ITLS, BLS instructor) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds; able to organize changing work assignments.
Three Peer Reviews required for Level II and III Criteria to Promote and Maintain (five for Level II; seven for Level III) Licenses and CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Additional Licenses and Certifications State of Ohio Paramedic Certification required.
