Mounds Park Academy is a PreK-12 independent school in Saint Paul, MN that serves approximately 575 students from throughout the Twin Cities area. Since 1982, Mounds Park Academy has engaged students in a rigorous college preparatory experience that is demanding, but not draining, and goes far beyond memorization. Students are challenged to apply their understanding to stir the human spirit, stand for justice, and shake the world. General Job Description:

Perform routine activities to ensure that the building is clean, safe, and in excellent operating condition. This position reports to the facilities manager.

Position Requirements:

The position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma, three years of custodial experience, preferably in a school setting, and the ability to work well with others. The position requires basic computer, communication, and writing skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas
Furniture moving and cleaning
Set up tables, chairs, and other equipment for special events and classrooms
Perform repairs to the building, mechanicals, furniture, and custodial equipment.
Respond to emergency clean-ups and repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to lift 75 pounds
The ability to work on ladders
The ability to work with chemicals, paints, cleaning products, and dust.
