Description
Responsiblities:
Responsible for leading and managing the full fund finance function for the company
Directs and provides management of an accounting department focused on fund level accounting services, to include planning, organization, and staffing
Oversees the department's financial performance through budgeting, analysis and interpretation of business trends
Reviews fund financial statements and provides strategic insights, analysis and comments
Communicates interpretation of reports to stakeholders and executive management
Serves as a liaison between accounting personnel, auditors, management and external investors and customers
Strategically builds relationships with key stakeholders and leadership members both internally and externally, to ensure service levels and financial objectives are being met
Develops performance measures that supports the company's strategic direction and manages departmental processes to ensure there is a high level of efficiency
Develops and implements departmental internal controls, financial policies and procedures
Continuously evaluates departmental processes to ensure maximum efficiencies, conformity to internal policies and procedures as well as supporting internal controls
Calculating of income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents.
Determining and preparing distributions and drawdowns. Analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to clients. Analyzing and calculating of performance metrics for partnerships/accounts as well as for each investment.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
CPA required
7+ years of fund accounting experience at a reputable SEC registrant asset management company
Supervisory experience
