Radiation Therapist

Location:
Newport Beach, CA

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncology Manager, Radiation Therapists, including the Lead Radiation Therapist at Hoag Hospital's Hoag Family Cancer Institute, are responsible for localizing tumors, assisting in treatment planning, and administering prescribed high doses of ionizing radiation treatments to patients.

Additionally, Per Diem Radiation Therapists demonstrate a work style that aligns with the department and organization's mission, vision, and values.

Compensation:
$70/Hour

Required Skills & Experience:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Proficient in teamwork and interpersonal interactions
Skilled in problem analysis, solution offering, and negotiation
Proficient in CT simulation techniques
Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Radiation Oncology EMR (Mosaiq)

Education:

Required Certifications & Licensure:

Licensed by the California Department of Health Services as a Radiologic Technologist (Therapeutic).
Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy or equivalent as recognized by the ARRT.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), approved by the American Heart Association.
