    Duration: 2024 NFL Training Camp Mid-July - August

    Job Summary:

    The Arizona Cardinals Training Camp Assistant – Equipment is sponsored by the Equipment Department located at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in Tempe, AZ. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for committed, hardworking, and dedicated individuals that are seeking to gain a future career in Equipment, including first-hand experience in a National Football League (NFL) environment. The Training Camp Assistant - Equipment assists in the daily operations of the department which includes equipment setup, breakdown, maintenance, assisting position coaches, and locker room preparation.

    Primary Job Duties:

    The Training Camp Assistant - Equipment will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

    • Set-up and breakdown of practice equipment
    • Laundry duty (washing, folding, etc.)
    • Practice field set-up and breakdown.
    • Position coach assistance during practice such as moving heavy objects, throwing and catching with players, setting up drills, etc.
    • Assist with upkeep of protective equipment.
    • Locker room prep for games and practices.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Education: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a bachelor's or graduate degree program
    • Experience: At least 1-2 years of collegiate sports experience
    • Basic knowledge and concepts of football equipment management preferred, but not required.
    • Basic knowledge and concepts of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
    • Ability to maintain high energy and a positive attitude on a team united toward the common goals of championship-level performance.
    • Effective communication skills with all individuals across the organization.
    • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around professional athletes in their work environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
    • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
    • This role will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
    • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
