    The Business Development Specialist is responsible for creating new business opportunities for the agency. This position will work with the sales leader and production team to create and execute a strategic sales plan which includes outbound cold calling, relationship development, and community outreach and events.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Establishes & ensures high level of professionalism in interactions with prospects.
    • Develop cross-selling programs for existing clients.
    • Ensure consistent communication plan with sales team.
    • Manage ongoing digital marketing campaigns of major insurance updates, emerging market capabilities, and claims trends.
    • Track department productivity.
    • Adherence to department budget.
    • Work closely with leadership team on strategic goals.
    • Support sales team on new business initiatives.
    • Other duties may be assigned.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum education - Bachelors Degree
    • Exceptional telephone & in person demeanor
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite
    • Ability to work efficiently with technology and utilize CRM software
    • Can work independently without supervision
    • Prior experience in sales or outbound telemarketing
    • Insurance license or willing to obtain
