This role is in Macedon, NY.

    WHAT WE NEED

    This position acts as the Supervisor for the Warehouse Department. Provides direction to subordinates in each of the areas of responsibility while working towards execution of key deliverables for Safety, efficiencies, and individual development initiatives. Effectively staff employees on all shifts to support production and customer requirements. The qualified candidate for this position will possess the skills to effectively communicate expectations to all team members and offer ideas for continuous improvement towards delivery metrics.

    • Directs and manages 24-hour schedule of workflow and monitors performance of Warehouse (Shipping and Receiving activities).
    • Ensures all materials and finished goods are reconciled within 24 hours of completion, making sure all inventory adjustments are completed as necessary to provide accurate & traceable inventory (in partnership with IC).
    • Ensures that documentation and procedures are created and complied with for each of the areas of responsibility.
    • Ensures materials are staged 24-48 hours in advance of schedule requirements. Work cross-functionally to maintain raw material flows to operations.
    • Supports each department's process improvement initiatives and ensures implementation across all shifts using performance metrics.
    • Monitors and ensure customer requirements are met and shipments are completed in full/on time. Works directly with customer service on order changes.
    • Complete labor requirements planning to support 24-hour operation. Approves OT as needed to support customer/production requirements.
    • Proactively provides Production, Planning and Customer Service with inventory information that will impede the schedule or cause disruptions to the schedule or Finished goods shipments.
    • Ensures self and staff understand the organization's vision, values, goals and strategies and their relationship to their daily work.
    • Performance Management: Manages employee performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards of performance; tracking progress against goals; providing clear, thorough, timely feedback; and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.
    • Technical Expertise Leveraged: Ensures self and staff keep up-to-date on technical knowledge and developments that impact roles. Uses this information to drive improvements and/or prepare for changing requirements.
    • Identifies opportunities in using information and processes outside of SAP and recommends plans to integrate them into SAP and increases efficiency of the process as a result.
    • Actively initiate and support process improvement projects. Ability to complete problem solving/brainstorming activities to implement and document new processes.
    • Identifies the impact of technology on business processes to ensure that it is used to maximum advantage; involves employees when implementing new technology and ensures they receive necessary training and follow through.
    • Assigns and assists in organization and cleaning of dock, rack storage areas, and facility. Reports on resolution of any deficiencies that cannot be immediately corrected within the team.
    • Identifies and assigns actions related to corrective actions developed during root cause investigations.
    • Participates in internal food safety audit programs and offers suggestions for improved operations.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    • A minimum of two (2) years of related supervisory and people development experience (hiring, firing, performance management and development).
    • Five (plus) years of experience in an inventory/shipping & receiving type environment and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must be capable of performing all duties of a Forklift Driver as required.
    • Forklift Certification required.

    At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
