    Job Description

    The Cloud Data and AI Technical Sales Director for the Americas will primarily drive sales growth in areas such as cloud migration, application modernization, data lakes/lakehouses, data mesh, Data Governance, and AI use cases, with a special focus on the telecommunications sector. This role demands a robust blend of strategic sales acumen and technical expertise to meet the dynamic needs of clients across the Americas. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry and be skilled at crafting and executing sales strategies that leverage technical solutions to meet client objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and drive sales initiatives by designing and executing advanced technical solutions in areas like cloud migration, application modernization, data lakes/lakehouses, data mesh architectures, and AI use cases.
    • Spend about 30% of the role on presales activities, focusing on solution architecture for telecommunications clients to prepare the ground for robust sales strategies.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for clients, integrating technical solutions like cloud migration paths, modern data architecture, and AI-driven innovations to maximize revenue.
    • Collaborate closely with presales and technical teams to ensure the alignment of technical solutions with overarching sales goals and customer-specific requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements in cloud computing, data management, and AI to continuously offer innovative and relevant solutions.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to both sales and technical teams, enhancing their skills in the telecommunications domain.
    • Engage in high-level sales negotiations and presentations, effectively communicating complex solutions to a diverse range of stakeholders.

    Experience and Skills Required

    • Significant experience in technical sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets in technology-driven sectors, supplemented by expertise in technical architecture roles.
    • Minimum 10-12 years in roles combining technical architecture and sales, with substantial exposure to the telecommunications industry and projects involving cloud data and AI solutions.
    • Strong capabilities in designing strategic sales initiatives and technical solutions like cloud migration strategies, application modernization plans, data lakes/lakehouses, and data mesh infrastructures in two or more hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or Redhat).
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively across various cultural contexts in the Americas.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business strategies for clients in the telecommunications sector.
    • Proven leadership skills in managing diverse sales teams, with a strong emphasis on achieving sales targets.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field required.
