Job purpose

A Material Handler / Warehouse is responsible for transporting material or other goods in such a way as to allow the continuous flow of products throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

+ Unload/Load trucks

+ Verify quantity loading/unloading is accurate

+ Ensure paperwork and labelling is correct

+ Scan parts for receipt/delivery as required

+ Stage material for put away/pickup

+ Reviews assembly build requirements

+ Picks and stages parts for delivery to the production areas in such a manner that ensures that the correct quantity of the part is delivered to the correct place

+ Delivers material from the warehouse to the production areas and vice versa

+ Provides support to the decant areas

+ Drives forklift or operates other power equipment to transport a variety of materials, parts, or products

+ Use SAP to put away parts and to pick them from warehouse locations

+ Notifies supervisor regarding inventory shortages/discrepancies

+ Stacks materials in designated area

+ Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies

+ Communicate and enforce safe work procedures

+ Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection, and investigation findings) and their corrective actions

+ Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies

+ Perform other duties as needed

What were looking for

+ High School diploma or equivalent preferred

+ Licensed to operate forklift

+ Must have previous experience in a warehouse environment

+ Minimum of two years of related experience supporting manufacturing operations

+ Must be computer literate and can perform basic MS Windows / SAP operating tasks

+ Attendance on the job is essential

+ Must be able to work in a team environment

+ Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations

He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
