Description
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure customer contract requirements are fulfilled. Drives process improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
Keeps the production line running.
Drive process and product improvement working with Engineering and other APU staff.
Design, develop, and implement lean and capable manufacturing processes and systems including; manufacturing layouts, infrastructure needs for manufacturing, workstations, machines, equipment, tooling, fixturing, machine programming, work instructions, and visual aids.
Engage with Product Engineering and Test Engineering during the design cycle to ensure manufacturability with capable production methods and processes.
Defines and manages Service Level Agreements with machine and equipment suppliers and coordinates SLA. schedules with Operations.
Supports Quality with Root Cause Corrective Action of failures and defects.
Coordinates with Quality to ensure all quality requirements are fulfilled.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Possess a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
Ability to perform complex problem solving.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Intermediate competencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Education :
B.S. Degree (preferred) in either IE, ME, or EE
Experience:
Minimum of Five (5) to Seven (7) years' experience in the manufacturing of commercial, industrial, or automotive products
Security :
US citizen or permanent resident required. Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain.
