    Job Overview:

    The Senior Advice and Counsel Associate Attorney will be crucial in conducting audits, drafting and revising documents, and providing expert guidance on complex employment law issues. The position requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, active admission to the CA State Bar, and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

    • Conduct audits of employer practices, including wage and hour policies and procedures.
    • Draft and revise incentive compensation documents, including commission and bonus plans.
    • Draft and revise policies, handbooks, and other employee communication documents for clarity.
    • Explain complex employment law issues in a way understandable to a diverse audience.
    • Identify problem-solving options, outlining pros and cons for clients to make informed decisions.

    Requirements:

    • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
    • Admitted to the CA State Bar and in good standing.
    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local workplace and employment law (a plus).
    • Understanding current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques (a plus).
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience conducting training or workplace investigations preferred.

    Education and Certifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
    • Active admission to the CA State Bar and in good standing.

    • In-depth knowledge of employment law.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
