    Interventional Radiology Technician - FT Contract $70 an hour (Montclair, NJ)

    Description:

    We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician to join our team at Morristown Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases. This position requires strong technical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

    Duties:

    Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases

    Operate floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines proficiently

    Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases

    Demonstrate critical thinking skills during neuro-interventional and complex cases to assist proceduralists

    Operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures

    Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load

    Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons

    Document procedures accurately in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACs system

    Manage groin post-intervention

    Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment


    Requirements:

    3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with NJ radiographic licensure

    Current BLS certification from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or equivalent

    Current licensure and certification with ARRT in New Jersey

    Strong communication skills and ability to use closed-loop communication effectively

    Skills and Experience:

    Proficient in operating x-ray fluoroscopic modalities

    Experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology

    Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection prevention measures

    Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

    Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities


    COVID Vaccine Requirements:

    Proof of:

    The primary vaccine series plus at least one booster OR

    The Bivalent COVID vaccine first offered in September 2023 OR

    The Monovalent COVID vaccine


    Compensation:

    $70/hour

    Schedule: 9am-5pm, On-call and weekend shifts required, Floating to endovascular OR suite and offsite locations as needed


    Start Date: 05/13/2024

    End Date: 08/10/2024
