Job DescriptionDescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONFollowing the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading trucks, the delivery driver is responsible for delivering company products to customers in a safe timely fashion and load and unload vehicles at our facilities and customer locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a box truck
• Load and unload material, both at the manufacturing location and customer locations
• Ability to coordinate delivery details with the customer
• Check load for accuracy before leaving for delivery
• Properly maintain and track daily logs and related record keeping
• Report any issues or incidents to management
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor

Skills Knowledge and ExpertisePOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a clean driving record
• Meet physical demands for medium to heavy work
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Strong work ethic
• Self-motivated
• Punctual/dependable with great attendance

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• 1 year experience driving box truck (preferred)

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESWhile performing the functions of this job, the employee is:

• Continually required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Regularly required to sit or stand and to walk.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly required to lift 50 lbs.
