    Aquatics Director

    Principle Responsibilities

    ● Teach aquatics-based merit badges and lessons

    ● Present in front of group sizes of 2-24 youth and transfer knowledge

    ● Turn in advancement paperwork to supervisor in a timely manner

    ● Assist with the set-up, maintenance, and take down of program areas

    ● Participate and exhibit Scout Spirit at camp-wide programs and activities

    ● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area

    ● Provide First Aid as needed

    ● Lead department staff, including admin items such as scheduling and training

    ● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

    ● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

    Qualifications & Training

    ● 18 years of age or older

    ● Comfortable speaking in front of groups of youth and adults

    ● Current lifeguard certification (BSA Lifeguard or Red Cross etc.)

    ● Required 1+ yr. leading teams, prefer 1+ Summit employment

    ● Previous training experience preferred

    ● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

    ● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

    Performance Results

    ● Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant

    ● Contribute at least one improvement to Aquatics program operations

    ● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants

    ● Complete contract period with 2-4 positive experiences

    Physical Requirements

    ● Multiple hours a day of either standing, walking, paddling, swimming and ability to lift 50 lbs.
