- Request and review quotations from suppliers including price, delivery, brand, and quality.
- Enter purchase orders into the SAP Expedite purchase orders as required to ensure timely delivery.
- Dispense parts to maintenance, production, and engineering departments as required.
- Analyze products and suppliers for possible consolidation/elimination of multiple parts/suppliers.
- Discuss price and products with supplier inside sales representatives and meet with outside sales representatives to identify new products and systems to improve the value of parts or services purchased.
- Negotiate Terms and Costs
- Resolve Invoicing discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively in all environments, ability to work independently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Negotiating skills necessary, with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement in a Manufacturing Environment strongly desired
- SAP experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
