    SUMMARY

    The Provider Lead works closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Clinic Manager to ensure effective and efficient clinic operations at their respective clinic. In collaboration with the CMO, the Provider Lead will help develop clinical standards and support strategy as it relates to clinical care. This position will provide services to patients, facilitate clinic provider culture, and be a clinical subject matter expert as part of the interdisciplinary care team.

    This role is 10% administrative as provider lead, and 90% in direct patient care as a primary-care provider.

    Essential Job Duties
    • Partners with the Clinic Manager to ensure successful operations in the clinic
    • Participates in team meetings, provider meetings, quality meetings, and other community or professional activities asrequested by CMO
    • Meets regularly with the CMO to review patient care issues and provides input into the development of treatment guidelines and protocols
    • Provides on-site day to day clinical supervision and back-up of Primary Care Providers.
    • Organizes andleads site-provider team meetings
    • Evaluates provider performance and communicates constructive feedback (e.g., patient satisfaction, metrics, collaboration with staff, referral patterns, case reviews)
    • Works with individual providers when there are problem areas
    • Provides supervision of assigned provider staff
    • Collaborates in development of Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for providers at risk
    • Analyzes provider staffing needs and makes recommendations for clinic needs
    • Assesses provider staff needs for training, tools, and other resources necessary to carry out their duties
    • Communicates accurate information from executive leadership and other teams to staff in a timely manner

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education, Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
    • Meets basic requirements and holds current Oregon state licensure as MD/DO, NP, PA with prescriptive privileges
    • At least 5 years of practice experience as a primary care provider is required
    • Previous leadership experience supervising other PCP providers is preferred

    • Knowledge of and ability to apply FQHC guidelines
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply standards of practice
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood or bodily fluids.
    • Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals is possible.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Regularly sit while working on the computer; use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls; repeat the same movements when entering data; ability to differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness; read from a computer screen for extended periods of time.
    • Frequently stand and walk around the office to gather supplies, required to do filing, use office equipment, or collaborate with employees.
    • Occasionally stand, stoop and lift or move objects, equipment and supplies weighing approximately 20-25 pounds up to 40-50 pounds.
