The Failure Analysis Enablement Team is seeking a candidate to assist with generating the software tools needed to support failure analysis of NXP products.

This candidate will interact with design engineering to gather data needed and will create the software tools for failure analysts.

The software tools include CAD navigation database, memory bitmap database and scan diagnostic database.

The candidate will also help to drive efficiency improvements in data collection from design and in creation of software tools for Failure Analysis (FA) Labs.

The NXP Failure Analysis Enablement Team designs hardware and sets up software for each NXP product.

The hardware and software released by the Failure Analysis Enablement team enables full analysis support for every NXP product from inception to end of life and guarantees the highest quality products for our customers.

The Failure Analysis Enablement Team is chartered to provide support for all Product Diagnostic & Quality Centers (PDQC) Failure Analysis (FA) Labs located in Austin (Texas, USA), Bangkok (Thailand), Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Nijmegen (The Netherlands), and Tianjin (China).

Requirement
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Basic programming or scripting knowledge
Knowledge of semiconductor design tool (such as Cadence or Mentor Graphics) is helpful
Experience in failure analysis is an asset
Detail oriented and drives for perfection with willingness to take ownership
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Strong relational-skills with intercultural awareness
Ability to work under a strict confidentiality regime
Multi-disciplinary and analytical, explorative and open minded

Specific Experience:
Knowledge and experience on these tools is an advantage.
Cadence PVS
Synopsys Avalon
Synopsys Custom Compiler
Siemens Calibre
Siemens Tessent Diagnosis

Basic Concepts:
Knowledge of these basic concepts is an advantage.

ATPG
Test programs and data logging
Scan diagnosis
Memory BIST / bitmapping
Design enablement
EDA/CAD tool development
Wafer fabrication process / physical mask layers

Programming Languages :
Relevant software development experience on these programming languages is an advantage.
Git
Perl
Python
Tcl
Shell scripting
