Job summary
Maintains the appearance and sanitation of all areas of Mercy Hospital including, but not limited to patient rooms diagnostic testing rooms waiting areas staff areas examination rooms and operating rooms in accordance with infection control regulations Disposes of trash recyclables and medical waste according to policies and procedures Regularly wears personal protective equipment PPE Uses bleach on an ongoing basis along with other hospital approved disinfectants and cleaning products Operates both a pager and computers to receive and send communication about patient rooms Hangs cubicle curtains as needed Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values guiding principles and Mercy Service Standards Performs all other duties as assigned
