- Must have 10+ years of prior Law Enforcement experience.
Responsibilities:
- Foster an environment consistent with our strong risk culture
- Cross functional collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Safety security services as required by business needs
- Vigilance during spontaneous events or threats that pose a risk to bank employees visitors etc
li Escalate matters through one of the appropriate channels identified in the CIBC Code of Conduct (ie HR management Ethics Hotline Whistleblower etc ) upon observing activities that may be inconsistent with CIBCs policies frameworks guidelines processes controls
li Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices outcomes thereby negatively impacting CIBCs reputation as a leading financial institution
n Monitor preserve safety security bank employees visitors etc .
i Speak up if witnessing behaviors drive poor unfair outcomes for clients team members stakeholders
g Point of Contact - The Corporate Security Protection Officer CSPO should be easily identifiable all yet blend surroundings business environment Must conspicuous creating visual reassurance while deterring potential disruptive persons
g Patrolling The CSPO will perform periodic patrols all bank space remaining alert irregularities such as security breaches violation access card use encountering tailgaters informing violators policy infractions Must lookout unauthorized suspicious persons challenging reason being on bank property keeping mind person may authorized Restrict access Bank secured space only authorized persons properly vetted Provide safety security employees clients guests visitors Banking Center
d Vigilance The CSPO anticipate assess spontaneous events threats pose risk bank employees visitors others Make decisions react speedily appropriately situations bring threat halt as quickly possible escalating force proportionate threat This require multitasking responding dynamic situations/environments
