Our Production Assistant is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations within our manufacturing shop and steel yard.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in loading and unloading material from machines.
Assist welders, operators and drivers in the manufacturing shop and yard.
Handle and transport materials and equipment within the facility.
Use power tools and machinery when needed.
Set out or put away tools when needed.
Clean up manufacturing areas free of debris, dirt, and hazardous material.
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks.
Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.
Qualifications
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Good computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
Ability for cross training in other areas of the shop.
Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.

Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
Occasional exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
