    Our Americas division engages in various aspects of business, including manufacturing, engineering, automation, installation, and servicing across diverse industries such as Renewable Energy & Storage, Oil & Gas, Mining, Metals manufacturing, and more.


    Position Overview:


    As a BESS Automation Engineer within our Americas division, you'll play a key role in developing control systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

    Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing Unit Level Management Systems (ULMS) and Power Management Systems (PMS) tailored for BESS.

    This involves identifying software and hardware requirements based on market needs and regulatory standards, validating system performance through analysis and comparison with real-world data, ensuring compliance with international standards, and integrating control systems with power conversion units.

    Additionally, you'll be tasked with standardizing control sequences and parameters for various grid-scale applications, such as frequency compensation, volt-VAR compensation, black start, islanded operation, and more.


    Required Skills:
    Proficiency in programming PLC systems and automation software.
    Experience with industrial networking and protocols.
    Knowledge of Energy Management Systems (EMS) and SCADA/HMI.
    Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
    Familiarity with grid-scale energy storage systems and solar inverters.
    Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications accurately.
    Demonstrated commitment to responsiveness and excellence in execution.


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
    Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
    Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation design within utility-scale renewable energy projects.
