These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.

    The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems.     You will be leading a large instrumentation test team across the full spectrum of test operations to include data acquisition package design and installation; test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting support; data management; flight operations support; and customer interactions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leading a large team across a fleet of test aircraft through a full-scale test campaign
    • Leading the instrumentation effort from design to de-modification through requirements development, design, lab test, integration, and test operations support
    • Participating in customer lead Integrated Test discussions at the Senior Leadership level
    • Coordinating with Test Engineering & Operations teams on instrumentation needs, schedule, and facilities
    • Status work activity as a Control Account Manager
    • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate instrumentation requirements into hardware and software specifications
    • Act as a technical liaison to the Test Engineering Manager

    Must-haves:

    • Experience with extensive ground and flight test programs
    • Experience with 14 CFR Part 25 testing
    • Experience with Military Systems testing
    • Experience independently executing functional responsibilities for small to medium sized programs
    • Familiar with Ethernet, 1553, ARINC 429, and CAN bus protocol
    • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field of study and typically 14 years of experience

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous leadership experience: exposure to recruiting employees including assigning, directing and evaluating their work and overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence
    • Ability to independently execute functional responsibilities for large programs
    • Large transport category jet aircraft test experience
    • Experience with designing and utilizing complex instrumentation data acquisition packages
    • Experience generating electrical and mechanical drawings for instrumentation installation activity
    • Software development or coding experience

    SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
