- General Summary: Operating the MRI scanner to capture images for medical diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of the MRI Supervisor and Radiologist.
- Requirements:
- Completion of post-high school radiologic technology training.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients in varying emotional states.
- Analytical abilities to understand MRI techniques and anatomy.
- Previous experience with MRI is a plus.
- Registration as ARRT, current BLS Certification, and preferred MRI registry.
- Interview patients to assess eligibility for MRI exams.
- Review patient charts for relevant medical history.
- Administer contrast media following sterile procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment and peripheral devices.
- Ensure diagnostic quality of images and maintain records.
- Schedule MRI exams for efficient workflow.
- Instruct students and personnel on MRI operations.
- Assist physicians during procedures.
- Follow safety protocols and assist in staff appraisals.
