    Description
    Youth Baseball Ambassador – Baseball Outreach & Development The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking for dedicated part-time Youth Baseball Ambassadors to support D-backs priority initiatives including growing and serving the game of baseball and softball in the Arizona community. The ideal candidate is responsible for working with youth of all ages, has experience playing baseball or softball, is excited to represent the Arizona Diamondbacks and willing to create memories and experiences for players, coaches, parents, and community stakeholders. These individuals will be responsible for assisting in the execution of youth camps, clinics and other outreach/community events and programs. These individuals will also be responsible for working D-backs Home Games in the Sandlot. Youth Baseball Ambassadors are comfortable introducing the game to youth in the community through in-park activations, clinics, and school visits.
  • The primary goal of the Youth Baseball Ambassador is to make baseball and softball activities FUN during the introduction phase of the baseball/softball lifecycle.
  • The ideal" Youth Baseball Ambassador" MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
  • 18 years or older
  • Baseball/Softball playing experience
  • Assist in the successful execution of all D-backs baseball and softball programs serving entry-level players (e.g., Fun At Bat, Jr. RBI, Girls Play Ball)
  • Ability to work D-backs Home Games in the Sandlot – Launchpad & Strike Zone station (hitting/throwing)
  • Experience working with youth
  • Pre- and post-event set-up and breakdown
  • Exhibit good judgment and maintain appropriate behavior with clientele
  • Fun & outgoing personality to organize and entertain youth
  • Must be customer service oriented and detail-oriented
  • Must keep a safe & youth-friendly environment and have strong leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to manage event registration – including player registration and signed waivers
  • Ability to manage baseball and softball equipment inventory
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions to include extreme heat, cold, and rain for an extended amount of time
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check & meet all of MLB youth protection policy requirements
  • Must complete a USA Baseball "A" Coach certification
