Description
THOR Solutions is actively seeking an experienced Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative (DLER) to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) in Norfolk VA.
The DLER is assigned to one or more vessels in the LPD 17, LSD 41/49, or LHD 8/LHA 6 ship classes.
The DLER assists the ship's crew in documenting and scheduling Diesel Engine maintenance actions, collecting engine performance data, and assisting with engine balancing.
Coordinate diesel engine maintenance with the ship's maintenance team, regional maintenance centers.Represent the ISEA at integrated project team development meetings, conferences, work package reviews, and industrial support visits.
Monitor vessels life cycle maintenance, performance data, and reciprocating engine analysis testing compliance.
Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that parts and materials are available when needed.
Provide the crew training in collecting engine performance data.
Assist the crew in engine balancing and grooming events.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required:
This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. Already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (preferred);
OR be eligible for a Secret security clearance upon hire.
Prior or current certification as a US Navy Fleet Diesel Engine Inspector (DEI) and/or an OEM Technical Service Representative.
The Shipboard Automated Maintenance Manager (SAMM) software.
Diesel engine performance analysis (DEPA) data collection.
Reviewing and analyzing engine data to provide technical recommendations.
Proficiency with common productivity software including Microsoft Office applications.
Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 10-20% travel estimated.
