Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic, Tire/ Oil Tech to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers by leveraging your mechanical knowledge and technical skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse vehicle systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), in a fast-paced environment dedicated to automotive excellence.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and mechanical adjustments while adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and automotive electrical components.
- Perform auto body repairs and welding as needed to restore vehicle integrity after collisions or damage.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to execute repairs precisely on GM vehicles or other makes/models.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for accurate auto estimating and service history documentation.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, powertrain systems, transmissions, and engine troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, alignment procedures, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills for complex repairs.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes for accurate billing and parts ordering.
