    Position Description:

    The Laborist Practice at Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) is seeking two full time Nocturnist OB/GYN physicians to grow their team. Pennsylvania Hospital is the premier hospital in the area for obstetric care located at 8th and Spruce Streets in the historic Society Hill district of Philadelphia. PAH is the nation's first hospital has been a leader in patient care, treatment techniques and medical research for over 260 years. This established team of Laborists consists of six core physician FTE's.

    The Nocturnist Laborists will provide full-scope care of expecting patients on Labor & Delivery, ED consults, OB triage area and Antepartum unit. This model allows for immediate availability of attending physicians for patients laboring in Labor & Delivery. There will always be two OB/GYN attendings, as well as a midwife, on L&D at any given time working alongside the Laborist, creating a collaborative work environment.

    The schedule will consist of three, twelve hour shifts per week; no weekends. The Laborists will also play a key role within Pennsylvania Hospital's OB/GYN Residency program, actively teaching and supervising interns, residents and Penn medical students.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician, with a current state and DEA license.
