    A managed service provider providing IT support clients across all industries and of varying size and complexity. We support primarily Windows based networks Servers/Terminal Servers and we are heavy with Office 365 migrations. We have a small data center operation. You should be good with networking and Windows Server/Hyper-V.

    We do not hire Tier 1 technicians as we want things done right the first time by you – a great Solutions Engineer.

    We have always been a mostly-remote 1999 – 25 years Our office is in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

    That said, you will be on-site 2-3 days a week at satellite offices close to your house and remote the rest of the time.

    It is possible you could be on-site 5 days a week if ever required.

    What does a Senior Solutions Engineer do?

    Provide stellar IT Support via a mix of on-site and remote visits to some of our 125 clients in 5 states – no you don't have to go out of you want a work paid vacation.

    This role's responsibilities include taking ownership for the technical issues faced by the clients and assisting in delivering technical as well as non-technical solutions by making use of our IT and business standards in Technology management.

    In short, being successful in this role is vital to ensure the success for our company and our clients. IT Support Engineers may also act as a liaison between other departments to ensure client satisfaction. Everyone here is a key player yet there is plenty of room to grow.

    Working as Senior Systems Engineer 2 you will have the following responsibilities:

    • Associate's degree in appropriate discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum five years related work experience with a minimum of two-year's experience installing and maintaining local area networks.
    • Proven experience as IT administrator or similar role.
    • Expertise in network management and help desk support.
    • Setting up Client Server Networks and peer-to-peer
    • Knowledge of local and wide area networks; computer software and hardware.
    • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols (LAN/WAN configuration, routing, NAT, firewalling/IP tables, as well as IPSEC, V-LAN, Link Aggregation, DNS, etc.)
    • Extreme familiarity with administration of Windows workstation and server operating systems including, user profile disks, Microsoft RDG, Azure AD, print redirection. We are heavy with Office 365, you must have solid knowledge which includes the ability to do migrations or at least understand the concepts without looking them up.
    • Know exactly where local event log files are.
    • Optimization of copying/imaging of Windows PCs using servers and media, including simultaneous loading of multiple OEM Diagnostic software and associated licensing.
    • Ability to administer a 50+ node network including firewalls.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • U.S. citizen or legal permission for continuous employment in the U.S.

    • Provide guidance and limited training to clients on how their technology works.
    • Open to learning new things and remaining flexible in technology changes or processes.
    • Excellent planning, documenting, and organization skills with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

    Our Responsibility to You:

    • We pay you competitively with direct deposit every two weeks
