    Description

    Spencer Ogden is currently collaborating with an industry leading client in need of a Controls and Instrumentation Lead. This contractor will provide site support and oversight for Controls and Instrumentation (C&I) activities of the CHP Project, including planning coordination, review of Contractor deliverables, and ensuring quality, functionality, and contract adherence. Assist in reviewing Contractor's monthly progress claims and supporting subcontracting strategies to meet project goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Construction Site Manager in site activities.
    • Participate in site safety oversight, meetings, and walk-downs.
    • Assist in claim management, variation reporting, and contract entitlements.
    • Enforce project standards, engineering design, and work with Engineering to resolve deficiencies.
    • Monitor and minimize project risks (safety, quality, cost, schedule).
    • Maintain completeness and accuracy of project documents.
    • Collaborate with Contractors on C&I works.
    • Manage invoicing and monitor project receivables.
    • Facilitate effective team and client meetings.
    • Communicate relevant project information to superiors.
    • Participate in material orders, delivery, and tracking.
    • Resolve issues promptly or escalate as needed.
    • Monitor and inspect C&I works activities for progress, compliance, quality, and safety.
    • Provide input and correspond with stakeholders for communication platforms.
    • Review and approve Contractor's work method statements and related matters.
    • Monitor Contractor's progress for schedule adherence.
    • Provide instructions for adherence to project requirements.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated successful performance as Owner's Rep or part of EPC Team on similar projects.
    • Minimum 7 years of site experience in power and/or utility stations.
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in field instrumentation installation.
    • Advanced knowledge in instrumentation related to Major Equipment (boiler/heat recovery steam generator, combustion gas turbine, condensing steam turbines).
    • Advanced knowledge in electrical cable and raceway installations.
    • Advanced knowledge in electrical & controls equipment installation.
    • Advanced knowledge in earthing and grounding of plant equipment.
    • Advanced knowledge in plant control systems and networking communications.
    • Knowledgeable in Construction Safety practices and processes.
    • High level of computer literacy.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Successful background check.
