    Job Description:

    VICE PRESIDENT, QUALITY ENGINEERING

    As the Vice President of the Quality Engineering, you blend deep software engineering, innovation mindset and execution capabilities with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing managers and associates. The candidate should have an outside in perspective, desire to challenge the status quo and ability to influence partner adoption of tools and services.\u00A0

    You are deeply committed to contributing value to our customers through your work in defining the focus for the team that increases team's throughput while extending our quality practices.\u00A0 You will lead a group of Chapter Leaders that directly manage chapter members working on WI Products, you actively bring new ideas, approaches and insights to improve the work and develop new skills and capabilities in your area, enabling associate growth while adding greater value. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

    • Working closely with global partners to deliver on plan
    • Ensuring chapter area talent composition aligns with strategic priorities, including workforce planning vital to deliver value and results for customer and the business
    • Supporting, mentoring, developing and enabling Chapter Leaders across the globe to deliver increased value to the product areas and squads they support
    • Translating strategic changes and enterprise initiatives from enterprise groups to insights, and impacts to our customers and roadmap
    • Proactively partnering with domain, product area, chapter area/Coe, chapter, and other leaders to:
      • Influence strategic decisions and priorities related to your domain of expertise and remove strategic impediments to delivering value
      • Measure performance through established objectives and KPI s to deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results
      • Support Chapter Leaders to ensure optimization of chapter member talent while defining and building learning opportunities connected to the strategic direction of the domains and product areas
      • Reinforce consistency in and application of standards across chapters / squads, and with similar enterprise groups, and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps
      • Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments within your area of expertise, across the organization

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • Bachelor s Degree required; B.S. in Computer Science preferred
    • 10-15+ years' experience
    • Senior level experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing people and teams
    • Experience identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs; and strategic resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations
    • Relevant technology and/or subject matter expertise experience
    • Agile leadership experience
    • You are a committed and inspirational people leader capable of developing others within your knowledge area to accelerate and achieve increased skill proficiency
    • You have strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
    • You have a continuous improvement approach and encourage and enable an agile way of working
    • You proactively develop and share your knowledge, expertise and perspectives and build the same expectation across your chapters and throughout our cross-functional environment
    • You are intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching
    • You take a data-focused approach to decision making, in day-to-day leadership and strategic tradeoff analyses
