Description

Our client, a Japanese freight forwarding company is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join their team

Title: Logistics Specialist

Industry: Supply Chain & Logistics

Type: Full Time Direct Hire Exempt

Location: Dallas TX

Salary: $45K-$50K

QUALIFICATIONS:

Customer service experiences, data entry experience in forwarding, logistics or a related field is preferred.
Air and Ocean import or export experience is a plus
Japanese language skill is plus
Hazardous materials experience is plus

JOB DUTIES:

Provide excellent customer service in telephone and email communications
Data entry of shipping data into freight forwarding operations system and cargo tracking systems
Ensure all freight charges are paid in a timely manner
Generate arrival information to consignees and customs brokers
Arranging customs clearance for imports
Produce shipment notifications to concerned parties
Regularly check cargo status and communicating tracking information to customers
Arrange inland transportation as needed
