    The Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources is a professional school with world-class research, teaching, and outreach programs in natural resources conservation. Committed to inclusive excellence, the school offers degrees in forestry, fisheries and wildlife, parks, recreation and tourism management, and natural resource management and sustainability.

    Job Description:
    This Assistant/Associate Professor position will serve as a Wildlife Extension Specialist, conducting research, teaching, and extension activities related to wildlife conservation and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing extension programs, working with stakeholders to address complex wildlife issues, and contributing to the development of new knowledge and technologies through research and publications. This individual will also teach courses in wildlife ecology, management, and conservation at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A strong commitment to inclusive excellence, equity, and diversity is expected.

    Responsibilities:
    - Conduct research on wildlife conservation and management, with a focus on addressing complex issues and developing practical solutions
    - Develop and implement extension programs that meet the needs of stakeholders, including farmers, hunters, anglers, and other interested groups
    - Teach courses in wildlife ecology, management, and conservation at both undergraduate and graduate levels
    - Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop new knowledge and technologies through research and publications
    - Contribute to the development of inclusive and equitable extension programs that engage diverse audiences

    Requirements:
    - PhD in a relevant field (e.g., wildlife ecology, conservation biology, fisheries and wildlife sciences)
    - Strong research and extension program development skills
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
    - Ability to contribute to a culture of inclusive excellence, equity, and diversity

    Desired Qualifications:
    - Experience in conducting research and developing extension programs related to wildlife conservation and management
    - Teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels
    - Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of wildlife ecology, management, or conservation
