Description

Position Summary/Essential Duties:

· Conduct and interpret research

· Expertise in analytical methodologies and application of evidence for practice

· Expertise in application of quality improvement science methods

· Expertise in establishing clinical excellence

· Skills and knowledge in technology

Skills and knowledge in writing for publication and developing professional work for publication and/or presentation

Required For All Jobs

Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Advanced Practice Degree with a minimum of three to five years of clinical experience in perinatal nursing preferably with a background in labor and delivery and women's health and a strong background in staff education

Required Credentials, License, and / or Certifications: License to practice nursing in the State of Ohio; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; certification as a WHNP, FNP or CNM

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge: Strong background in use of information technology
