Role Summary:

Primary Responsibilities

• Microscopic examination and evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens for diagnosis of malignant and pre-malignant conditions.


• Quality control and productivity in specimen analysis to ensure high-quality diagnostic care.

Clinical Evaluation and Quality Assurance:

Assist with fine needle aspiration collection, NGYN, and FNA screening as required. Maintain proficiency testing records in accordance with CLIA '88 guidelines.



h3>Educational Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or higher from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) school. ASCP certification is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hiring.
However, it may be necessary to pass ASCP Board Certification within 6 months after program completion if you are a student currently enrolled in cytotechnology programs at CAAHEP schools.
A requirement exists to attain 90% competency level on an internal proficiency test during initial interview assessment,
buteven annually thereafter continue maintaining CAP-PT certification which could be approved alternative by CLIA regulations, while concurrently achieving 24 continuing education credits yearly as well as maintaining GYN -CAP mailing system showing an average profiency %of above eighty percent amongst regularly issued quarterly emails
