    The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time Movement Disorder Specialist to join its dynamic team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities.

    The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Program at KUMC is internationally recognized and is a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence.

    It is also one of the largest clinical trial programs for movement disorders in the country.

    The faculty will join a team of movement disorder neurologists, neurosurgeons, clinical psychologists, pharmacists, and other allied healthcare professionals with special training in movement disorders.

    We also have one of the largest deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound programs in the country.

    Candidates must have an interest and expertise in the management of a wide variety of movement disorders, a commitment to teaching students, residents and fellows, and an interest in research.

    For qualified candidates, opportunities are available to participate in research, quality improvement programs and the development of innovative care programs.

    Attend on the general neurology consult service.
    Supervise neurology residents, both in the hospital, and in the neurology clinic.
    Provide care to patients in the outpatient neurology clinic.
    Teach medical students in clinic and on the inpatient consult service and provide occasional lectures to medical students.
    Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of Movement Disorder.
    Be part of the Movement Disorder program at the medical school.
    Develop independent research projects and publish scholarly publications from these efforts.
