Contract Specialist

Position Summary
MFA is seeking to manage and set up contracts for all practice areas in the Firm's Accounting system with the addition of a Contract Specialist. This detail-oriented individual will be responsible for deciphering scopes of services from proposals and translating those services into tasks within the Firm's accounting software.
Responsibilities
The Contract Specialist will work with all practice area managers in setting up projects in the appropriate software, and he/she will assist in maintaining task records to determine the progress on the project. This role will be the liaison between finance and project teams to ensure revenue and any scope changes are properly recorded. In addition, he/she will develop and
maintain dashboard reports for all areas to ensure project statuses are up-to-date. This position will also work with the Billing department to resolve any issues and to ensure all financial information is reported correctly in all systems in a timely and accurate manner.
This position will work closely with the Controller to meet the Firm's monthly reporting schedule and will assist with implementing software changes as they are identified. The goal of the Firm is to implement software solutions that are efficient, consistent and timely.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- At least three (3) years' experience working at a similar-sized professional services firm
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Accounting/Finance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Keen attention to detail
