Job: Estimator/quoter

Classification: Non-exempt

Schedule: 10-hour shift, Monday – Thursday. Overtime as assigned.

Job summary: An estimator prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying blueprints, specifications or related documents. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.

Responsibilities: Review and evaluate cost estimates. Communicate with team members regarding new and current projects. Prepare estimates and purchase orders for all products. Ensure timely completion of all estimates. Manage bid pricing from vendors. Establish working relationships with vendors. Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills: Able to read plans and develop cost estimates. Strong understanding of utility body processes. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Able to multitask and meet strict deadlines. Impeccable problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements: May have to lift-up to 20 lbs.
