Sentara Heart Hospital located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Cardiac Technician for the Cardiac Procedural Recovery Short Stay Unit
This position is Full time:
Cardiac Tech will work 36 hours a week 7am to 7pm and rotating every other weekend.
Department Overview:
The Cardiac Procedural Recovery & Short Stay Unit (CPRS) is a 6-8 bed unit that is open 24 hours 7 days a week.
Responsibilities:
The expectations for this role will complete all the patients ADLs, assist with ambulating, and routine care as a Nursing Care Partner/Patient Care Tech but with the added competencies of starting PIVs, and assisting nurses in monitoring telemetry.
Education/Certification/Experience
High School Grad or Equivalent
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
o Preferred: 1-2 years of patient care experience
This is a great opportunity for a Patient Care Tech (PCT), Monitor Tech, or ED Tech that wants to grow their experience

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a Cardiac Tech to work in the Cardiac Cath Holding Care Unit
Full time position working a schedule of 7am to 7pm three days a week.
Cardiac Technician will assist staff in the Cath Holding Care Unit. Candidate should have 1-2 years of patient care experience. Cardiac tech will prep patient for procedures done in the Cath, Non-Invasive and EP Lab. Tech will place IVs, draw labs, set up telemetry monitor, pull sheaths, and transport patients.
Excellent opportunity for a Nursing Care Partner, Patient Care Tech, or Ed Tech to advance their skills.
Education:
High School Grad or Equivalent
BLS Required. EKG Holter Monitor Hook-up experience preferred. On the job training required.
