    The Gallogly College of Engineering is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our financial team. Our Financial Analysts provide budget management, administration, and analysis of OUFND and state accounts within academic departments of the college. They work closely with faculty, staff, students, and various OU offices, including Shared Business Services Center (SBSC) and the dean's office to track spending, prepare financial reports, and other duties as assigned.

    Job duties include:

  • Managing state and University of Oklahoma Foundation accounts, regular communication with academic units and SBSC to approve financial transactions, serve as liaison between academic units and SBSC.
  • Budgeting – Developing and maintaining working budgets; pulling, creating, and sending reports to the schools, report program budget information to the Executive Director of Finance and Operations, Deans, and other groups/departments on campus as requested.Tracking commitments such as faculty startup for departments.
  • Budget Meetings –meetings with schools and others as needed.
  • Administrative – answer phones, greet guests, take deliveries when students aren't at the front desk, and other duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements ---

    Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, AND:

  • 24 months financial, budgeting or accounting experience.
  • Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.

    Skills :

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
  • Financial or accounting experience to include analysis, auditing and budgeting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
  • General office skills such as multi-line phone, copying, filing, faxing, and mail
