    JOB TITLE: Estimator

    EMPLOYER: Barfield Fence & Fabrication an industry leader in architectural aluminum and fence products and services, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.

    DEPARTMENT: Office Operations

    SUMMARY: The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for various projects involving architectural aluminum products, fencing systems, and related services. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, sales teams, and clients.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

    · Review project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to understand project requirements and scope.

    · Conduct site visits and take measurements as necessary to ensure accurate estimates.

    · Analyze material costs, labor requirements, and other project-related expenses.

    · Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid documents for potential projects.

    · Communicate with clients, project managers, and sales teams to clarify requirements and provide expert advice.

    · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing structures, material costs, and industry trends.

    · Continuously seek ways to optimize estimating processes and improve accuracy.

    · Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of experience as an Estimator, preferably in the architectural aluminum or fencing industry.
    • Proficient in using estimating software and MS Office suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
    • Familiarity with architectural drawings and blueprints.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Additional Requirements

    · Valid Driver's license

    · Pre-employment drug screening

    · Bilingual is a plus

    Job Type
