    Job Description
    TMC Technologies is in search of a Digital Forensics Analyst to support a federal client in Rosslyn, VA. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of an

    interim Secret security clearance

    to start due to federal contract requirements and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. This role supports the Computer Investigations and Forensics Division (DS/CTI/CIF) which conducts digital media investigations and operations.

    The Digital Forensics Lab processes and analyzes digital evidence utilizing a wide variety of advanced computer technologies, encryption schemes, and forensic tools in support of Diplomatic Security's criminal investigative functions.


    The Digital Forensics Analyst will:

    • Utilize industryaccepted forensic examination tools such as Cellebrite, Oxygen, EnCase, Axiom and Nuix to perform indepth digital forensic analysis of various mobile and computer operating system, file systems, OS and thirdparty application Databases.
    • Conducts forensic examinations of digital evidence through the application of recognized scientific practices for the recognition, collection, analysis, and interpretation of digital evidence for criminal and civil law or regulatory purposes.
    • Provides expert witness testimony; produces comprehensive reports, notes and illustrative exhibits for federal, state, and local judicial proceedings at a level sufficient to explain evidence interpretations and conclusions from forensic examinations to a lay audience.
    • Collaborate with other forensic analysts, and work closely with law enforcement officers, prosecutors and US attorneys to identify and recommend forensicallysounds procedures in imaging, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence in court.
    • Provide on‐scene forensic support in the field and knowledge of proper evidence handling, packaging and chainofcustody procedures.
    • Stay abreast of trends in digital forensics, cybersecurity, forensic law, mobile devices, social media tools, mobile applications, and encryption technologies.
    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of experience is required.
    • Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before start date and be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
    • At least one Forensic certification. These can include those issued by SANS (GCFE, GASF), IACIS (CFCE, CMFE), Cellebrite (CCPA, CCME), NCFI (BCERT, MDE), or Opentext (EnCE).
    • Ability to work with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization; the ability to deal tactfully, courteously, and professionally with customers and peers
    • Ability to work independently while adhering to policy guidelines
    • Strong critical, creative, and analytical thinking skills.
    • Experience developing technically detailed reports that translate complex technical information to nontechnical audiences.
